A Preacher’s 2-Minute Gospel Message
Hear the Word of the Lord, you who tremble at His Word (Is 66:5)! It is God who created the heavens and the earth, for He is God who formed the earth and made it (Is 45:18). In the day He created man, He created him in His likeness (Gen 5:1); but the Lord was sorry He had made man on the earth (Gen 6:6). What went wrong between God and man?
Adam and Eve sinned against God (Gen 3). They, even Israel, despised the pleasant land of paradise; for they did not believe His Word (Ps 106:24). The sons of Adam became the children of the devil (1 Jn 3:10). Satan, the god of this world, has blinded the sons of Adam (2 Cor 4:4). The Bible says that man is dead in his trespasses and sins (Eph 2:1). But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised (1 Cor 2:14). How do you get spiritually dead people to come alive?
Most people think the answer is to be a good person and do good works. The Bible says, “There is no one good, no, not one (Rom 3:12).” As for good works, the Bible says, “For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; and all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away (Is 64:9).” Where do our sins take us?
The Bible says, “the wages of sin is death (Rom 3:23),” and, “it is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes the judgment (Heb 9:27).” We know the day of the Lord is coming (1 Cor 1:8), for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Rom 1:18). The Law of God proves humanity is enslaved to sin (Rom 6:6), as slaves of Satan, who was a liar and murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him (Jn 8:44). What is truth? Where is truth? Who is truth?
Jesus Christ, the son of God, has come into the world to save His people from their sins (Mt 1:21), saying, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me (Jn 14:6).” And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). How did Jesus save His people?
Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (Jn 1:29). He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross (1 Pet 2:24). Jesus said, “I lay down my life for the sheep (Jn 10:15).” Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her (Eph 5:25). Jesus said, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins (Mt 26:28). God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself (2 Cor 5:19), and we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us, we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God (2 Cor 5:20).
You might ask, “What must I do to be saved (Acts 16:30)?” or “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life (Lk 19:16)?” Everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life (Jn 6:40). Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31). AND IT SHALL BE THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21).
Who has believed our report (Rom 10:16)? As many as had been appointed to eternal life believed (Acts 13:48). The Bible says, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ (Rom 10:17).” Jesus Christ said, “unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God (Jn 3:3).”
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Cor 15:3–4). He ascended far above all the heavens (Eph 4:10).
If you are trusting in Jesus, today, heed His words, “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also (Jn 14:1–3).
Behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2), and in a day of salvation, I have helped you. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation (Is 25:9), for salvation is from the Lord (Jon 2:9). And all the people shall say, “Amen” (Dt 27:15–16).
