On Abortion
Murdering your child is not a cause for celebration. It is not an opportunity to be grateful for Planned Parenthood, either. It certainly is not something that should be promoted. According to the Bible, the Law of God, murder is a sin (Ex 20; Dt 5). Sinners will be judged (Rom 3:23; 6:23); for it is appointed for sinners to die, and then comes the judgment (Heb 9:27).
A few years ago, another #movement was birthed by the third wave feminists, in their quest for women’s privileges. #shoutyourabortion was having its coming out of the closet moment for women who have killed one or more of their children, and who feel the need to celebrate that sin in the public forum.
On the same day I read of this movement, promoted by the billionaire spiritualist Oprah Winfrey, I read of a Colorado father who murdered his wife and two daughters. Why was he and his action not celebrated and promoted? He was seen as evil, while millions of American women are liberated by their heinous crime(s) against their own children. It is sheer hypocrisy, but the double-minded nation is unstable in all its ways (Jas 1:8).
Here is the wicked nature of sin. When Adam and Eve submitted to the deception of the serpent in the garden paradise of Eden (Gen 3), they showed how dangerous free will was for humanity. Of course, with the fall of humanity, free will was a thing of the past.
Man, a slave to sin and Satan (Rom 6:6), now operates in a world of darkness (Col 1:13). He is blind to his own plight (2 Cor 4:4): every inclination of his heart is only evil all the time (Gen 6:5). Man is unjust, wicked, twisted, debauched, unrighteous, or in one, all-inclusive idea — totally depraved. This means he has no desire to change his evil ways (Jn 3:19; Rom 3:11), nor does he have any ability to do so (Rom 8:7).
Man’s nature is controlled by sin (Eph 2:3). His thoughts are sin (Eph 4:17). His words are sin (Mt 12:34). His affections are sin (Jer 17:9). His works are sin (Is 64:6). The world of sin is within man, even as he lives in a world of sin. Sin begets sin, in a cycle of destruction, hurtling toward death (Rom 6:23). The wages of sin is death, meaning, man works for sin, as sin works in man. Man’s reward is death, for sinning.
The Bible reveals that man is oblivious to the fact that he is dead, spiritually, in trespasses and sins (1 Cor 2:14; Eph 2:1). God gave humanity His Law (Ex 20; Dt 5), but this only provoked sin within man, to work harder at sinning (Rom 5:20). Sin reigns in man’s mortal body.
The practice of sin, produced by one’s sin nature, is twisted self-destruction, fueled by self-love. The more one sins, the more wrath he is storing up for himself on the day of judgment (Rom 2:5). In other words, he is making his eternity in hell fire worse with each accumulation of sin (Mt 25:41, 46; Jude 7; Rev 20:14–15). Sins are crimes against God (1 Jn 3:4), and these crimes are against the infinite majesty of the holy One. Man absolutely deserves eternal punishment for the infinite nature and number of his sins.
To promote sin in the world is to be an ambassador for Satan. Living in his embassy of filth is to be his dwelling place (demon-possessed). His demonic spirits are sent to occupy the minds, hearts, and bodies of the sons of disobedience. Sin wants to multiply, and when sinners unite together for a sinful cause, they are the synagogue of Satan in the world.
The reprobate are shameless promoters of evil. They love sin (Jn 3:19), and they cheer other sinners on to further dark deeds done in the flesh (Rom 1:32). There is no remorse. There is no guilt, for the conscience of the wicked is seared. There is only hatred for God and His Law (Rom 1:30). They do not have the Holy Spirit (Rom 8:9), nor grace from God, in the conviction of sin (Jn 16:8).
The conviction of sin comes to a sinner, who is saved by God’s grace. Conviction is grace from God. It results in one’s repentance from sin, which is also a work of grace (Acts 5:31; 11:18; 2 Tim 2:25). Christian women who have murdered their children know the grief and pain of their sinful actions, but they also have the Comforter that assures them of the forgiveness of sins (Mt 26:28; Jn 14:26; Eph 1:7; Rev 1:5). The reason for their guilty conscience being eased, is the knowledge that Jesus Christ has washed them clean by His precious blood. He died in their place of punishment, on Calvary’s cross, enduring the wrath of God on their behalf (Lev 16; Ps 22:1; 1 Pet 2:24).
If you are a champion for death and abortion, today, there is a stern warning to repent of your sins, your sin nature, and your wicked promotion of evil. You have no right to produce nor promote this wretched behavior of abortion/child murder/child sacrifice. Turn, today, from your pride of murder, and receive the murder of Jesus Christ, as the payment for all your sins (Col 2:14). You will either mock such a call to repentance, or you will trust the conviction that leads you to the only salvation for sinners…Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). #shoutyourrepentance #shoutyourfaith
