Our God is NOT Wanting

God wants to do a miracle in your life, but you have to let Him!” Ummm…no!

First of all, God is not wanting for anything. A god who wants is somehow lacking. This is not the God of the Bible. Our God sits in the heavens and does as He pleases (Ps 115:3; 135:6). He does all His holy will (Eph 1:11).

You have the wrong god, if he is somehow dependent on you or others to let him do what he wants to do…but cannot seem to get it done without you. It is a travesty that begins in the pulpit. A low view of God is derived from a low view of the Scriptures. This is passed down from pastor to parishioner. It is “weak sauce” Christianity.

World powers are nothing to God, as demonstrated at Babel, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, and Rome. Our God raises up kings, and He knocks them off their pedestal, if that is His plan. The powers of nature are nothing to the One who created them. He is the Lord of all, and that includes everything in the natural world.

So why is our all-wise, omniscient, omnipotent God so lame in relationship to you? It is because you have fallen for the temptation of the devil, “You shall be like God (Gen 3:5).” You have believed lies about who God is and how He works in the world and with individuals. You talk about Jesus without shame, but you have the wrong Jesus.

False Christs abound in the theology of those who claim to be Christians. Your interest in the supernatural is not biblical. Your ingenious spirituality always focuses on people, not on Christ crucified.

Our God is not wanting. It is you and your theology that is wanting, having been weighed and measured against the Bible. It is time to repent of your false deity, advanced by false teachers, who preach the false gospel, of the false Christ.

Be encouraged. It is the Spirit of truth, who will set you free by the truth (Jn 8:32), by guiding you into all truth (Jn 16:13), if it is His will to do so. Does this offend you, my dear reader? It will, if you are not walking in the truth. In contrast, those who walk by the Spirit rejoice, for God has revealed His sovereignty in all things.

If you sense that you may have been deceived, as revealed by your man-centered theology, then pray that God would grant you repentance. He gives grace to the humble, and those who are working for His favor are not humble. Examine yourself and your theology. Jesus Christ is Lord, not you.
