Telling It Like It Is

How rare it is for a man to hear of humanity’s mutiny against Almighty God! Which discipline in the realm of man’s education gives heed to the universal rebellion against the King of kings? Here is the uniqueness of biblical Christianity, over and against every discipline of the human potential development, including the charades of unbiblical Christianity.

If one is to know the truth that sets him free from sin, Satan, the world, death, and eternal judgment (Jn 8:32), his knowledge must begin with this low view of his species. Be warned, dear reader, of those who would convince you of human goodness or inherent favor with God, merely because the first man was made in the image of God. Who will listen to the preacher that assures his listeners that they were born and have lived much of their lives in the image of the devil (Jn 8:44; 1 Jn 3:10)?

The natural man is a hater of God (Rom 1:30; 1 Cor 2:14). Now multiply that man by seven billion. Yes, even if one acknowledges there is evil in the world, the question is whether he will ever contemplate the scope of humanity’s insurrection. The Bible notes that the enemies of God have titles like “world” and “nations.” All human institutions and all of their works are for one purpose: to overthrow the reign of Almighty God and His anointed King over them…the Lord Jesus Christ (Ps 2).

God, of course, is unmoved by the vain uprising of His creatures against Him (Ps 115:3; 135:6). They are fulfilling their intramundane part in the cosmic drama He decreed and oversees. Even the wicked were made for the day of evil (Prv 16:4). The wicked are like chaff, and they will not stand in the judgment (Ps 1:4–5). They are vessels of God’s wrath, prepared for destruction (Rom 9:22).

When a lover of darkness schemes deception (e. g. evolutionary theory; human potential movement; climate change; etc.), he is an agent of the deceiver, Satan. Remember when you were led into some conspiracy theory, only to be delivered by the truth. Imagine now if the whole world system was a lie, and every lie was a component part. People in leadership are merely blind guides, convincing the blind masses that they know the way (which they do, for it is wide and leads to destruction!).

“Come to our leadership conference!” “Buy my book!” Try our new product!” “Our service is second to none!” and so on…only keeps people in the darkness. In fact, if an organization has a motto, mission statement, or marketing slogan without the name of Jesus Christ in it, then, it is of the world and from the god of this world, Lucifer (2 Cor 4:4). Woe to those who would be so bodacious, as to incorporate the name of Jesus for the name of their organization, and then set out to present another Jesus and another gospel (2 Cor 11:4).

Only at one point in history did humanity entertain the perfect man without sin (Heb 4:15). As representatives of humanity from all generations, the Jews and Gentiles at Jerusalem sent a clear message to heaven, “We will not have this man to rule over us (Lk 19:14)!” The righteous One appeared and lived in perfect holiness, yet, He was an offense to sinners. He still is an offense, today.

Knowing the ramifications of having Jesus as King, those who loved darkness went about their evil ways to put the Son of God to death. Such unity has never been seen, where leaders and followers, Jews and Gentiles could agree…”This Jesus makes me feel uncomfortable in my sexual sin, my coping addiction, my zealous religion, and my libertine, antinomian desires and practices. Crucify Him!”

Sinners have sporadically heard that sinners will be judged, sentenced, and punished for their sins. For this reason the heckler mocks the street preacher, the congregation dismisses the pastor, and the government or religious fanatic oppresses the true witness, in an effort to suppress the truth (Rom 1:18). The heaviest dose of truth is found in the Bible (Ps 119:160; Jn 17:17; 2 Tim 2:15), which you should surely take up and read.

Everyone and everything makes some arcane claim that they will “change your life.” In truth, only the Bible and the conviction of sin, brought by the Holy Spirit, can make that claim. Even then, it must be God’s will for that change to become one’s reality (Jn 1:13). Christ alone has been given the authority in heaven and earth (Mt 28:18), to execute the purpose of God, in accordance with His perfect will (Eph 1:11; 3:11).

Jesus Christ, the King of glory, reigns omnipotent. He, alone, rules with a rod of iron over the clay pots that wish to defy Him. A season of grace has been given to each generation, wherein, God’s Spirit is sent to the elect (Eph 1:4–5), for whom Christ died (Mt 1:21; 1 Pet 2:24), to atone for their sins (Lev 16), through the redemption afforded by His shed, precious blood (1 Pet 1:19).

When the season of grace ends there will be cataclysmic judgment, executed by the very One they loathe, Judge Jesus Christ, who judges with perfect righteousness (Rev 19:11–21). Friend, turn yourself in to Him, for there is no place to hide from the omniscient, omnipresent Spirit of Christ (Rev 6). Call upon Him in humility, earnestly seeking forgiveness. Do not delay. Pay homage to Him, lest His anger visits you sooner rather than later.
