The False Great Awakening Preached by “Woke” Pastors
Christians expect the world to operate in the realm of unrighteousness (Gen 6:5; Jer 17:9; Rom 1:18–32; 3:10–12; 1 Cor 2:14; Eph 2:12). Without God, the thoughts, words, and actions of the ungodly are evident (Mt 12:34). Without truth, the obsession of the deluded is to “change the world.” Through dreams and reimagining, the unregenerate quest for a better life in this world. Evil doers promote themselves as change agents for a new world order. The truth is they lust for power, money, and sex, in order to be gods (Gen 3:5).
It takes a Spirit-filled Christian preacher to call sinners to repentance (Acts 17:30). God grants repentance to some people but not all (Acts 5:31; 11:18; 2 Tim 2:25). Repentance is the God-given grace to change one’s mind about the world. This results in a change of worldview, causing a change in priorities. Behavioral change results from a new and heavenly perspective (Col 3:2). The path is called, “righteousness.”
Ideas generated from the minds of fallen human beings are never Christ-exalting nor do they glorify God because they are man-centered. With a focus on specious human improvement, even by forced compliance, the secularist esteems superman above all else. In fact, superman is the re-imagining of Jesus Christ by the deceived. In the future, the chief imposter will appear as the false Messiah, the ultimate superman (2 Thess 2).
The Messiah-complex finds many in the church, who would gladly usurp the role of the enthroned King of glory (Ps 24; 1 Tim 6:15). These have a dark secret that must be exposed. It is their secret ambition to be a god (Gen 3:5). These are the wolves who sneak into Christ’s church undetected. They pose as angels of light, while in truth, they are messengers of Satan. They must be exposed for the evil they purport in the propinquity of God’s holy temple (Eph 2:20–22; 5:11).
The wolf in the church is popular. He is surprisingly accepted by the world. In fact, one way to detect a wolf in the midst is to check his man-centered message against the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The false preacher, advancing his false gospel, will have a message from the world, seasoned with misused terms from the Bible. In this, the more obvious false teacher will sound like the world, with its contemporary jargon. This includes psychological terms and cultural buzz words.
Today’s preacher with another gospel, accepted in popular culture, is said to be “woke.” A new cultural religion is emerging in Western nations. It is a brutal, merciless, unforgiving religion that demands adherence. The high priests of this religion of cultural legalism make up the rules as they go along.
Non-compliance to this religion results in the offender (cultural sinner) being “cancelled.” The end goal objective being equity, although the priests themselves become elitists, living above their rules. This new religion, a product of world culture, has pervaded the church.
Woke preachers lead woke congregations, as the blind leading the blind into the pit (Mt 15:14). Their social gospel has become a militant social justice gospel. They ascribe the sins of previous generations upon their descendants by race, gender, or some other variable. According to woke preachers, Jesus wants you to pay cash, today, for your ancestor’s sins. These are called, “reparations,” and this will lead to everyone being happy with a new controlled equality.
The quest for a godless utopia requires the destruction of institutions and systems of the old civility. Chaos must come before the great reset can be established. Bankrupting (hyper-inflation through irresponsible government spending) and disarming Americans, while allowing the nation to be invaded without resistance are essential tactics of destruction. This is also the impetus behind the movement to “defund the police.” Bringing a cultural civil war will open the gates for a false messiah of the cultural religion. People must be forced, mentally and behaviorally, to comply with the rules of the new religion.
Because there is no new thing under the sun (Eccl 1:9), we need not look too far to identify the root of this socio-political religious movement. This hydra is the bastard child of Karl Marx. With tentacles of political intrigue and domestic terror, this monstrous regiment of Antichrists is hell-bent on destroying the United States and other Western Societies, so global Communism can become a reality. Here is the motive behind the Democrat Party in the U.S.A.
The kingdom of God is never a version of Socialism or Communism, which have repeatedly failed in one nation after another. This new version of godless, sin-affirming cultural religion from the kingdom of this world, is doomed to fail. Misguided woke preachers in Christ’s church must repent of their advocacy of this false religion with its false gospel.
Spirit-filled men of God are stewards of the mystery of the Gospel of God’s grace. The gospel of this world places hope in man’s atheistic philosophies that produce systems of governance that are devoid of God and the Christ, who alone is our Savior (Titus 2:13).
The Christian mission is reconnaissance of lost people, elect by God from before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4–5; Rev 13:8; 17:8). These belong to Christ because they were given to Him by the Father (Jn 6:37; 1 Cor 3:23), through redemption and regeneration. The One Spirit, at work in Christ’s one church, fills the Gospel preacher to herald the Good News that Christ Jesus has achieved atonement with God (Acts 10:42, 44–45; Eph 1:9), for His holy nation of royal priests (1 Pet 2:9), who call upon the name of the Lord (Joel 2:32; Rom 10:13), as evidence of their being saved by His grace through faith granted to them (Eph 2:8–9; Phil 1:29).
It is the Spirit of Christ who awakens the spiritually dead (Eph 2:1, 5; Col 2:13). These are the true “woke” ones, who gladly testify to their being asleep to the truth of Christ’s righteousness. Him we proclaim, as the one way to God the Father (Jn 14:6), who alone draws His elect to know so great a salvation (Jn 6:44), the forgiveness of sins by His precious blood shed on the Cross (Eph 1:7; 1 Pet 1:18–19). This is the true Great Awakening. Got woke, yet?
