This is Our God

The God of the Bible is God. His name is Yahweh, and His name alone is exalted, deserving all praise (Ps 148:13). God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases (Ps 115:3; 135:6). His glory is above the heavens (Ps 113:4) and the earth (Ps 108:5).

God is holy (Ps 99:9), and He reigns (Ps 99:1) over all His creation (Ps 33:6) — a great King over all the earth (Ps 47:2), forever (Ps 11:16). The earth is Yahweh’s and all it contains (Ps 24:1).

God laughs at those nations who are in rebellion against Him (Ps 2:4). He takes no pleasure in wickedness (Ps 5:4). God is a righteous Judge, and a God who has indignation every day (Ps 7:11). Even the heavens declare His righteousness (Ps 50:6). He is coming to judge the world with equity (Ps 96:13; 98:9). Yahweh is a God of vengeance (Ps 94:1). He will repay His enemies.

Yahweh is the Maker of Israel (Ps 149:2). These are the sheep of His pasture (Ps 79:13). He will accomplish what concerns them (Ps 138:8). Their days are written in His book before there was even one of them (Ps 139:16). Wherever His people are found, they dwell in the presence of His Spirit (Ps 139:7–9). For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His own possession (Ps 135:4). He has also chosen Zion as their dwelling place (Ps 132:13). Yahweh does great things for them (Ps 126:2).

Salvation is far from the wicked (Ps 119:155), but God is the Savior of His people (Ps 106:21). He saves them out of all their distresses (Ps 107:13, 19, 28). His people proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day (Ps 96:2). They ascribe glory, give thanks, sing praise (Ps 92:1). Yahweh is the rock of our salvation (Ps 89:26). Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him (Ps 85:9). He is the God who is Himself our salvation (Ps 68:19).

God is to be magnified (Ps 70:14). People should wait upon the Lord (Ps 37:34; 40:1), for power belongs to God (Ps 62:11). He is a stronghold and refuge for those who fear Him (Ps 59:16–17). It is right to trust in Yahweh (Ps 55:22). God is for His righteous ones (Ps 56:19).

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God (Ps 14:1; 53:1).” Evil is in their dwelling (Ps 55:14). They hate discipline (Ps 50:17). Man in his pomp is without understanding (Ps 49:20). Kingdoms totter (Ps 46:6), but man still amasses riches not knowing who will gather them from him (Ps 39:6). The wicked borrows and does not pay back (Ps 37:21). There is no fear of God before his eyes (Ps 36:1).

God has spoken (Ps 60:6). By the Word of Yahweh, the heavens were made (Ps 33:6). The Word of the Lord is upright (Ps 33:4) because it is the Word of truth (Ps 119:160). Yahweh establishes his Word to His servant (Ps 119:38). The righteous trust in God’s Word (Ps 119:42). They wait for His Word (Ps 119:74) because it revives them (Ps 119:25) and strengthens them (Ps 119:28). Their salvation comes to them by God’s Word (Ps 119:41). In this, Yahweh is gracious to give his people His Word (Ps 119:58).

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous (Ps 116:5). God is good and His lovingkindness is everlasting (Ps 118:1). The name of Yahweh is to be praised (Ps 113:1). He remembers His covenant forever (Ps 111:5). The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind (Ps 110:4).

Although God will shatter kings in the day of His wrath (Ps 110:5). He has sent redemption to His people (Ps 111:9). He is their help and shield (Ps 115:11). He deals kindly with His people for His name’s sake (Ps 109:21). He satisfies the thirsty soul and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good (Ps 107:9). I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live (Ps 104:33). Bless the Lord, O my soul (Ps 104:1).

The sovereignty of God rules over all (Ps 103:19). The heavens are the work of His hands (Ps 102:25). Yahweh reigns and the peoples tremble (Ps 99:1). Tell the next generation, to come and praise Yahweh (Ps 78:4). Even the wrath of man shall praise Thee (Ps 76:10).

Friend, in the day of trouble seek the Lord (Ps 77:12). He rescues His people from oppression and violence (Ps 72:14). God is to us a God of deliverance (Ps 68:20). God, our God blesses us (Ps 67:6). He will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth (Ps 57:3).

Praise the Lord (Ps 150:1). Sing to the Lord a new song (Ps 149:1). His name alone is exalted (Ps 148:13). Let us praise the name of Yahweh (Ps 148:5). Let us speak of the glory of His kingdom (Ps 145:11). I will extol Thee, my God, O King. And I will bless Thy Name forever and ever (Ps 145:1). Amen and Amen.
